Park-a-Thon
Park-a-thon is not just another clever way to separate you from your hard-earned cash! It's a way for our students to give back to our community. Park-a-thon is along standing tradition of community service projects that help us keep Christian education affordable.

Approximately 70 students in grades 2-5, along with teachers and parents, help the park caretakers get ready for the busy summer months of fun and picnicking!

1) It is a community service project that benefits everyone who uses and takes pride in our parks.
2) It is an educational project that benefits our students by teaching:
a) Cooperation as students, teachers, parents, and park caretakers work toward a common goal.
b) Respect for our community's resources and commitment to our God-given responsibility to care for His creation.
c) The importance of helping their school without the promise of personal gain for doing so.
3) It is a program that benefits every child that attends Algoma Christian School.

Every spring students will clean Grose Park on Crockery Lake in Conklin, Morley & Riggle Parks in Cedar Springs, and Richardson-Sowerby & Pickett Parks in Rockford.
